Wellness Brand Food

Postby Malone'sMom on Mon Sep 08, 2008 9:04 am

Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum, so I apologize if this has been posted before...

I went on dogfoodanalysis.com and found that Wellness Brand Dog Foods seemed to be about the best out there in pet supply stores. Has anyone used this brand? If so, how did your dog seem to do on it?

My Boston is showing signs of thinning hair behind his ears, on top of his head, and under his legs. I had been feeding him Beneful Healthy Radiance and my gosh - I had no idea how bad the ingredients were in there! I read that the corn, corn glutens, soy and wheat cause most food allergies, so I'm hoping by feeding him food without these things, they will condition his skin and coat. Just for FYI if you're feeding your dog Beneful, check out what the ingredient review is:

Scary! Needless to say, I'm ready to make a switch after reading that ingredient review! Thanks for any help or advice on this brand of dog food or any other you have found to help with thinning hair problems!

Hi, Tiffani

I don't feed Wellness so I can't answer your question but I wanted to mention that I've heard feeding your dog Beneful is like feeding them a bowl of Doritos. LOL I'm glad you're switching Malone over to something else.

I feed Innova Evo & my kiddos are doing great on it.

Welcome!

I feed my boys Wellness, and they seem to do well on it. I also feed my cat Wellness Core. I have been feeding it to them for a few years now, they are heathy and shiny. +

Not sure about Wellness but I've been feeding Innova Evo and my guys do great on it.

Honestly, go talk to the ladies at Pookies Bow Wow Bakery or Louise's Pet Connection. They're a HUGE help. It's nice to see someone elese from Orlando here. :D

We are feeding Innova adult and the guys are doing well on it. Wellness is a good food though. I'm not sure if it will help with the thinning hair issues — that seems to be a boston thing — but it may help. Some people give melatonin to help with hair growth.
